Is it advisable to outsource one’s personal financing/bookkeeping and what are the best services?
My personal finance skills (paying bills online, balancing my checkbook, etc) leave a lot to be desired. My bachelor philosophy — hording as much money as I could in my checking account and hoping the ends meet — worked as a single man, but being the family accountant requires more than a “chipmunk mentality.” I often fall behind with monthly bill paying, and this produces a lot of anxiety. I am looking for a service to manage weekly bookkeeping, hoping that it pays for itself in reduced anxiety and fewer checking overdrafts. Does anyone have experience with outsourcing personal bookkeeping (not business) to a BPO firm in India or elsewhere? What should I look for in choosing a service and what should I expect to pay? What are the best firms and what do they provide?
You should do this YOURSELF, and do NOT outsource this….
If you never learn to have a healthy relationship with money, you will do a grave disservice to your family in the long run.
If nothing else, buy a cheap calendar, and when you get your bills in, log their due date on the calendar A WEEK BEFORE THEY ARE ACTUALLY DUE. All you then have to do is check the calendar, and it will tell you what bill needs to be paid when and for how much
Learn to control your money, before it controls you. Did you know that for every 1000$ of CC debt you carry, I can pretty much bank on that you are 5 pounds overweight?? No kidding..
Learn to budget now, it will do nothing but reap many rewards over your lifetime…
