Question by : Does every company have a financial department (aside from accounting/bookkeeping)?
I am soon graduating with a finance degree, but do not desire to work with a bank or investment trader. I was curious as to whether or not every company has jobs for financial people (again, besides accounting) in the same sense that most companies always have some positions in Information Technology. I suppose what this is ultimately referring to is the question of, do most companies have employee branches for things such as budgeting and risk management or do they tend to outsource these functions to financial entities?

Obviously not every company has a finance department, but the larger ones most likely do. The company I work for has 3 or so finance people aside from the accounting department. Good luck!
