Bookkeeping Courses Norfolk

Bookkeeping Question.?

I’d like to take a course in bookkeeping. But there are so many out there and I don’t know who to go with! Should I go with one of the study from home courses, and if so which one?

Or if you can recommend any good colleges in Norfolk that do bookkeeping courses I would appreciate it ^_^

Whatever the course you eventually decide upon doing, the best advice I would give you is to take one that is recognised by a professional Institution, as these are worth far more to perspective employers and carry added kudos amongst peers.

But even without those factors they will tend to be more rigorous and the quality of their content will be to a high standard. With some courses, especially if they’re commercialised and heavily sold via advertising and gimmicks, they may not be as highly valued for various reasons. If you are going to spend time and effort studying, then it may as well be to achieve something worthwhile that has a value in the job market.

The details I have provided are what I consider to be of high quality and to give you the best opportunities.

There are two main professional bodies specific to Bookkeeping:

The IAB http://www.iab.org.uk/
and:
The ICB http://www.book-keepers.org/

Before choosing a course, it would be a good idea to investigate both to see which one suits your aims the best.

There are two centres in Norfolk that run IAB courses detailed here: http://www.iab.org.uk/college_display_eng.asp?county=Norfolk

The ICB has various options which are detailed here: http://www.book-keepers.org/where_to_study/

The Open University also has some courses and information that may help guide you: http://www3.open.ac.uk/courses/bin/P12.dll?S01

Good Luck!
