Question by Dr. Jeff: is it possible to start a bookkeeping business with no experience?
I have certification but I have never worked in the field. Also I am an older woman I have been mostly out of the work force while raising children, I still have one child at home so would like to find a way to work from home.

As long as you are a CPA you can do this. It might be really hard to find clients, but you can legally do i if you want to.

Sure it’s possible. Start small and once you have some good references you can expand your business. Tax time is the ideal time to start. Offer a competitive rate, advertise in your local paper and work at it. Good luck.
