Question by R14: Is is legal to run a bookkeeping class on you own?
I putting together a basic bookkeeping class to teach on my own.
Is this legal or do I have to have some sort of educational certification like a school or a tutoring center?
Best answer:
Answer by stop eating people, dammit
Since no license is required to actually *be* a bookkeeper, and assuming you’re talking about the use of the word “bookkeeping” in business and accounting (i.e., you’re not teaching people to be “bookies”
) … then as long as your students are adults, no credential is required — it’s no different than if you had become very skilled in weaving rugs, and decided to teach a class to willing students.
