School starts next chapter in century old story
Taft School is beginning this academic year with the budget balanced, staffing levels almost restored, and a continued emphasis on maintaining small class sizes and improving technology. The small, one-school district in southern Lockport has had its share of challenges, with budget constraints, layoffs last school year, and delayed funding from the state.
